ANNA, Texas – “One of the main priorities of our lives is the education of our youth,” said Jeff Frazier, when asked why he is running for re-election for Anna ISD Board of Trustees Place 2.
There are a number of issues that are the topic of conversation among Anna educators, parents and even students.
Exemplary Rating – “This is what we are all looking for,” said Frazier. “However, we must understand that this race is a marathon, and not a sprint, as this is an annual race with the variables changing from year to year.” |

Swine Flu Reports Cause Concerns
McKINNEY, TX - As of Monday morning April 27th, Collin County Health officials have received no reports of any swine flu cases in Collin County. The Swine Influenza (swine flu) is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by type A influenza viruses that causes regular outbreaks in pigs. People do not normally get swine flu, but human infections can and do happen. Swine flu viruses have been reported to spread from person-to-person, but in the past, this transmission was limited and not sustained beyond three people.
In late March and early April 2009, cases of human infection with swine influenza A (H1N1) viruses were first reported in Southern California and in Texas. Other U.S. states have reported cases of swine flu infection in humans and cases have been reported internationally as well. |

The first building of a four-building complex on FM 455, in front of Westfield and directly across Willow Creek communities, has been framed and is in sheet rock stage this week.
